Seems the only good ideas I have come courtesy of pinterest.com these days. I saw this idea of doing a thankful tree and loved it. A new family tradition was born! We did it last night, and it was a rare family home evening success. Ethan taught us our lesson about what it means to be thankful and read us some scriptures. We were sharing things we were thankful for and writing them on leaves to attach to our little tree. Ethan was thankful for school so that he can learn, for our family, and the Earth. We had to guess what Elyse was thankful for, so we picked Pepper (because she does truly love that dog), fun family trips (because David and I like those) and trees because she was pointing and grunting at the leaves. And my dear Sara Katherine...she is also thankful for her family, her house, and above all, thankful for food. Is she my child or what?? :)
The thing I am most thankful for above all else is my Savior. I couldn't be thankful for anything else I have or love if not for Him. Happy Thanksgiving, everyone.
